"Weren't you guys running v1.3? Why the change?"¶

We were! But the community had a discussion about it and underwent a period of testing our servers on multiple v1.6 custom builds (including Neptune) to gauge feedback and overall thoughts.
Ultimately, we decided that it'd be better to start running v1.6.
